Alisha aims to facilitate a safe and confidential space for self-exploration and change. Alisha starts off by learning more about you, your strengths, your goals, and any barriers that may be in the way. Alisha has extensive experience in working with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, suicide prevention, stress, trauma, relationship/intimacy conflicts, self-esteem, and personal exploration. Alisha firmly believes it takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps toward change. Approach: Integrative, Person-Centred and Humanistic Counselling-Psychotherapy Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT,Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Alisha charges €70.00 per session works with adults and adolescents struggling with many kinds of mental health and anxiety issues including: General Anxiety, Social Anxiety PTSD and Panic Attacks.

Information for parents and adolescents – Alisha always invites parents into the first session to set up an agreed system for how the young person and her can work together. Alisha works with adolescents from age 11 and upwards and not with children under 11.
Alisha O’Donovan is originally from the United States and has successfully completed an honours degree, a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, emphasis in Applied Research, and an honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology.
Alisha is a fully qualified and licensed counsellor in the United States of America and an accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). As a therapist, Alisha’s approach to psychotherapy is grounded in a unified approach to the science of clinical psychology that assimilates and integrates key insights from the major approaches (e.g., CBT, humanistic, person-centered) into a more coherent whole. The alliance between the client and therapist is a key factor in the therapeutic process.
