Karen Connolly
Pre-Accredited Psychotherapist
I am a compassionate Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist dedicated to supporting clients struggling with anxiety or other issues. My holistic approach ensures that each client’s unique needs are at the heart of our work together. I focus on the whole person, considering each client’s entire life context and recognising that past coping strategies may no longer serve them. Together, we develop new, healthier ways to navigate life’s challenges.
Karen charges €60.00 per session and is available for sessions online and in person in Cork. She has experience helping clients with a wide range of issues including social anxiety, general anxiety, depression, family/relationship issues, bereavement, self-esteem, work-related anxiety, and health anxiety.
Karen Connolly – Pre-Accreditted Psychotherapist
My main therapeutic models are Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Existential therapy. I aim to create a warm, non-judgmental space for self-exploration and foster present-moment awareness to help clients find purpose and meaning in their lives. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to address negative thought patterns and behaviours, mindfulness practices to reduce stress, and creative expression for self-exploration and relaxation.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in complementary medicine and medical research. This experience enables me to offer my clients a broader perspective on health and healing. I strive to create a safe, nurturing space where clients feel valued and understood. Whether dealing with anxiety, seeking personal growth, or facing other challenges, I help clients build resilience to feel more balanced and fulfilled.
